  1.                SON-net  Statement of Faith

  3. WE BELIEVE the Bible to be the Divinely inbreathed, infallible,
  4. inerrant, and authoritative Word of God.
  5.  
  6. WE BELIEVE that there is one God, externally existent in three Divine
  7. persons:  God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Ghost.
  8.  
  9. WE BELIEVE that all men are sinners in need of a Saviour and that
  10. salvation is ONLY found in the Lord Jesus Christ.
  11.  
  12. WE BELIEVE in the virgin birth of the Lord Jesus Christ, His unqualified
  13. deity (He is God), His sinless humanity and perfect life, the eternal
  14. all-sufficiency of His atoning death, His bodily resurrection, His
  15. ascention to the Father's right hand, and His personal future return
  16. to this earth in power and glory to rule.

  18. WE BELIEVE in the Blessed Hope - the rapture of the Church which could
  19. happen at any time.
  20.  
  21. WE BELIEVE that justification is a judical act of God on the believer's
  22. behalf solely on the merits of Christ, and that regeneration by the
  23. power of the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential for personal salvation.
  24.  
  25. WE BELIEVE that salvation is a gift of God received with a repentant
  26. heart and that salvation cannot be earned or merited by good works.
  27.  
  28. WE BELIEVE in Christ's Lordship over the Church, the observance of the
  29. ordinances of Christian baptism by immersion for believers and the
  30. Lord's Supper.

  32. WE BELIEVE in the eternal blessedness of the redeemed in heaven and the
  33. eternal doom of the unregenerate in the lake of fire.
